Last week we took a really close look at George McClements as an author we want to try and write like. If you remember in a previous post we charted all the craft moves he made as an author to help make his writing interesting and to help the reader understand the story better. We have been noticing these types of craft moves in other books we have been reading. Today the kids spent some time pouring over books we have read multiple times and they found ways these authors have made craft moves like George McClements. The kids are trying to incorporate these techniques into their writing of their personal narratives. Ask your kid what they have tried out!
